Christine Walser has a diploma as a primary school teacher and a Master's degree in Special Education HfH (Hochschule für Heilpädagogik) Zurich, Switzerland. After teaching primary school classes and classes for children with special educational needs, she started working at the University Children's Hospital Kinderspital Zurich as a hospital teacher in 1993. In addition she has lectured at the nursing department since 2003. During sabbatical vacations she attended a training at the Maria Montessori Training Organisation in London and assisted in a primary school in Sydney. She has voluntarily worked and lectured in a co-operation project of hospitals and schools between Armenia and Switzerland.
