Presentation of the trilateral Slovene-Belgian-French Comenius project
An international group of hospital teachers from Slovenia (Ledina
Hospital School at Pediatric Clinic in Ljubljana), Belgium (Hospital school
Escale at Clinic Saint-Luc and W. Lenox Neurology Centre in Brussels) and France
(Hospital school at Pediatric Clinic in Nancy) started the collaboration on
the Comenius Project: Adapted Sport in the Hospital. The three years project started in the school year 2004/05. Within the project we are finding
different ways to satisfy sport and motion needs of hospitalised children
and youth. Project goals are to select and adapt the most appropriate common
sport activities and games and to develop some new ones, to use during school lessons. Such activities are included in curriculum in different modes: as motivation or relaxation activities, as didactical games in drill and practice exercises, as adapted sport lessons.
Our common goal at the end of the project is to organise jointly (Slovene,
Belgian and France) Hospital Olympic Games that will be realised in all
three hospitals on the same day.
Within the contribution we would like to present so fare made activities in the project:
o how hospitalised pupils presented the partner countries,
o examples of innovative didactical sport games that make maths
dynamic and emulative,
o some sport activities for motivation and relaxation of pupils.
With short video clip (realised by a Belgian colleague Jean-Piere we will also illustrate the organisation, cautions and pupils experiences in sport activity days and Hospital Olympic Games.
